Working principle
Sparking test machine is actually a weakness of online testing instruments, it will set the voltage value according to certain rules of periodic loading to the insulation line, and part of the grounding conductor, so the insulation surface forms a voltage difference in the conductor and the insulating layer, which can detect whether there is bad. The cable is passed through the bead chain high pressure pole, and the test voltage is produced by the power frequency high voltage transformer. When the cable insulation is defective, breakdown occurs, that is, the output of high-voltage transformer is short circuited by high voltage. The short circuit current is made up of the electrode insulation defect at the output end of the high voltage transformer, the cable core earth high voltage transformer. Therefore, the spark tester and the core must be grounded well, otherwise the short-circuit current will not form a loop, and it may lead to a dangerous high voltage on the shell of the spark test machine or the cable core.
